I included all source so that you can see what I used. This is a great project to learn about global event listener, JRobot, JavaFX, etc... -

J-Odyssey is a pseudo 1st person shooter game-demo, written in Java OpenGL bindings (JOGL). Parts of the code might be useful for learning to draw sprites and drawing a HUD overlay in JOGL, and adding windowing, controls and sound with Java.

JAVA is DOOMED (JID) is an OpenSource 3D engine implemented in JAVA and uses OpenGL as graphic API. The reference implementation of the Java bindings jogl is used to access the OpenGL API. ESCAPE and ModelLoader are applications based on JID.
