Net.py is a tool for learning about neural nets. Currently, it only allows the user to experiment with a Hopfield net. I am now extending it to cover the Kohonen net. I'd be pleased to receive suggestions and criticism.

This project implements in C++ a bunch of known Neural Networks. So far the project implements: LVQ in several variants, SOM in several variants, Hopfield network and Perceptron. Other neural network types are planned, but not implemented yet. The project can run in two modes: command line tool and Python 7.2 extension. Currently, Python version appears more functional, as it allows easy interaction with algorithms developed by other people.

Ocular is a spreadsheet written entirely in python. Cell contents are evaluated by python after any standard spreadsheet coordinates are parsed. This allows the full Monty from Python to be implemented in a visual environment.

Diversity assessments and comparisons of large compound databases require calculating similarities of millions of compounds in an affordable time. ParaSim addresses this challenge by parallelizing the calculations according to the number of computing cores available on a single machine. It is optimized for the throughput of very large numbers of query structures against very large numbers of reference structures. As as special feature, ParaSim allows to store and and to access frequently queried datasets as persistant objects in memory for short response times. ParaSim calculates chemical similarities based on binary structural fingerprints. It does not compute fingerprints by itself but relies on third party software to do so. Basically, all types of structural fingerprints which can be stored in an array of bits (a bitset) can be used by ParaSim. Como técnico en informática en un Instituto de Física con el tiempo surgió la necesidad de tener que crear distintas piezas de software para ir resolviendo situaciones diarias. En este proyecto iré agregando pequeños programas en Python 2.7 que voy escribiendo para dar soluciones a algunos de los problemas que surgen día a día en el laboratorio, como ser comunicación con algunos dispositivos o rutinas para ordenar o modificar datos de forma recursiva algunos cálculos matemáticos, creación de gráficas etc. La finalidad principal del proyecto es poder poner a disposición de aquel que lo necesite mi trabajo tanto dentro del Instituto donde trabajo como fuera del mismo. Asi como tambien recibir la mayor cantidad de criticas, consejos e ideas posibles para poder mejorar mi trabajo. Podrán ver que parte de los programas están mas documentados que otros tratare de ir poniéndome al día comentando el código y escribiendo la documentación de los distintos scripts.

Rocksnake takes localities from geological mapping projects and plots them in 2D, over an optional basemap. Each locality has all the standard geology notebook contents and photos attached to it which can then be viewed from Rocksnake.
