The nagios-statd daemon allows a Nagios server to monitor and alert about various resources on remote Linux machines. If using python >= 2.6 on the remote server, nagios-statd stops accepting connections after 39 consecutive requests in a short period of time. ebsdiff creates a binary patch file using the bsdiff format. The enhancements to bsdiff are that it stores an MD5 hash of the original file (preventing accidental patching of the wrong file) and can limit the memory it uses while creating the patch file.
