TimeSformer is a vision transformer architecture for video that extends the standard attention mechanism into spatiotemporal attention. The model alternates attention along spatial and temporal dimensions (or designs variants like divided attention) so that it can capture both appearance and motion cues in video. Because the attention is global across frames, TimeSformer can reason about dependencies across long time spans, not just local neighborhoods. The official implementation in PyTorch provides configurations, pretrained models, and training scripts that make it straightforward to evaluate or fine-tune on video datasets. TimeSformer was influential in showing that pure transformer architectures—without convolutional backbones—can perform strongly on video classification tasks. Its flexible attention design allows experimenting with different factoring (spatial-then-temporal, joint, etc.) to trade off compute, memory, and accuracy. -

A stream implementation for Python that provides transparent base64 encoding and decoding of an underlying stream. This project is designed to develop a class, :class:`base64io.Base64IO`, that implements a streaming interface for Base64 encoding. Python has supported native Base64 encoding since version 2.4. However, there is no streaming interface for Base64 encoding, and none is available from the community. The legacy base64.encode and base64.decode interface lets you shuffle data between two streams, but it assumes that you have two complete streams. We wanted a standard stream that applies Base64 encoding and decoding. :class:`base64io.Base64IO` provides an io streaming interface with context manager support that transparently Base64-encodes data read from it. You can use it to transform large files without caching the entire context in memory or to transform an existing stream. -

This application was made to fulfill the assignment for the Data Structures course. The concept of the application is an application to upgrade/enhance image quality. The main theme is queues, we implement circular queues for pooling/storing a list of images to be upscaled. Gui creation is made manually using the tkinter library. Footswitch 2 is a media player for transcribers on Linux. Written in python and using the python bindings for VLC it allows a transcriber to control the audio or video with a USB footpedal, and includes a set of macros that integrate into LibreOffice. This allows the transcriber to control the media player from within Libreoffice as well, making it useful for those who do not yet own a footpedal/footswitch. Control of the media player from LibreOffice can be via Hotkeys or an integrated toolbar. This simple tool extracts frames from all MP4 videos in the same folder as this program. ## How to use: - Place this program in the folder containing your MP4 videos. - Double-click on VideoFrameExtractor.exe to run it. - When prompted, enter the number of frames you want to extract from each video. - Wait for the program to finish processing all videos. - Find your extracted frames in the 'extracted_frames' folder. The frames are extracted at evenly distributed points throughout each video. For example, if you choose 3 frames, they will be taken at the 25%, 50%, and 75% marks of each video.
