Hi everyone. Although this will probably soon become obsolete knoledge, I'm curious: how do you make a text editor for DOS? I would be extremely grateful if anybody could give me a really simple example or direct me to website. Thanks. Thanks Hsutaro it worked like magic. Is any one using PW32 or GMU MP from Honglilai's dev-c++ resourse site ? If so please into which directory should i put the runtime libraries respectively. Also during the installation of PW32 i chose not to overwrite the already existing c header files what are the implications. Finally PW32 required me to nake certain changes to my autoexec.bat file. should i go ahead with it ? Hi everyone.
Does anyone know how to convert a float into a char string? I need =
to do the reverse of what atof() does. I have figured out how to convert =
an integer to a string, but the decimal point is causing me problems =
with a float.
Can someone give me a nudge in the right direction?
Thanks!!

Hello, > > There is a function called, > > gotoXY(?,?) in conio.c (You need to include conio.c, not conio.h) > Again, you should not be #including .c files like this. That is what the linker is for. #include <conio.h> and add [your lib path]conio.o to the linker options (project/project options.) Including .c files leads to multiple definition errors from the linker (particularly when your projects contain more than one source file.) That's why you #include .h files. Multiple (equivalent) /declarations/ are benign. -- regards, Nick |

I'm using DirectX 7 in C and C++, and both works very well.
