While there is brace matching and the color of the brace matching region can be configured, there is no way to change the text (foreground) color of braces itself.

We should probably also add square brackets [ ] to the set of delimiters that get matched. Right now, only braces { } and parentheses ( ) get matched. Doing angle bracket <> matching is more difficult because of the operators <, <=, >=, >, <<, >> and >>>.
