Good news: ffmpeg-php extension is installed.
Bad news: it gives me an error and google doesn't help.
Good news: executing "ffmpeg bla-bla-bla" on ssh results in what I need.
Bad news: there is no way to execute ffmpeg shell command using ffmpeg-php directly.

I'm asking you to implement this feature with separate function like "ffmpeg_raw($args)". Probably that's not so difficult but will help people that are facing security issues i've ran into.

chapters of aac-Codeced Files

The Feature to extract chapters of Apples AAC-Codec (m4a) would be nice.
It would be a handy feature to check if an audio file is encoded using constant (CBR) or variable (VBR) bitrate.

SPEC for CentOS and Fedora

This spec should compile on CentOS 5 provided you install the required dependencies.

I installed the required dependencies from Fedora 8 and FreshRPMS SRPM packages. To me that is much more useful than jut a generic mpeg4 for an xvid encoded file.

I was wondering if somebody could help me in drawing up my strategy document for a Multimedia Portal (using only open source tools and technologies).

The objective being, i have large set of video and audio archives which i want to make it available to 400-500 students in a campus. I went through various options like Videolan, epresence, etc. But then since i am not an multimedia streaming expert, i would rather take an expertise's help in this regard and hence the query.

The strategy document could state the architecture, tools and technologies and how to assemble them, install the same for production ready.

Regards

ffmpeg-php on windows

Is there a windows support for ffmpeg-php already? i've been searching the net, but still haven't found one

A simple test to detect if it's a valid movie or not

I have installed ffmpeg-php and it's so usefull, but I'm very sad that you have not implemented a function like :

isValidMovie()

Because if I upload a file who is not a movie I have a php error like :

Warning: Can't open movie file /tmp/phphHgnoV in /var/www/htdocs_dev/classes/ctrl.video.class.php on line 164

Note that the file exists but it's not a movie.

Thank you very much
