It has a tendency to duplicate contacts as well. I have switched to MyPhoneExplorer for now because it works. It's not as nice as a fully background process since it requires its own Android client but I have not seen any issues with the calendar, contacts or tasks. I donated to the dev here a long time ago and I'd donate again if the project had any signs of life. Its the last version that works correctly. No more have all updated from Google to Outlook. So there is still something other than NET8.8.1 in play for Apps Releases above 4.1.33 especially in the appts that are repeating like holidays and birthdays. As a test I updated all 253 Google contacts by opening each and making a minor change with save. After that it synced 250 of 253. The next day I went to see if I could identify what 3 are missing from the sync and it now shows only 67 are being synced. I found the above workaround works (I shutdown the Microsoft Outlook task in Task Manager, restarted Go Contact Sync, and sucessfully synced Outlook with Gmail).
