&lt;p&gt;I haven't investigated what in particular the suspicious packet is; it did however originate from the multicast router.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The submitted patch resolves the issue by adding support for multiple source IPs for any given group. Instead of keeping a single source address, MAX_ORIGINS addresses are kept. &lt;p&gt;Daemon crashed on start, where try to enum all VIFs, and open socket for each one.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At the start i have limit of 32 VIFs hardcoded in /var/tmp/portage/net-misc/igmpproxy-0.1/work/igmpproxy-0.1/src/igmpproxy.h &lt;br /&gt;

Cisco say about correct adding clent port to the multicast group, but broadcast this stream to all ports. Same situation with d-link switch with igmp snooping. &lt;br /&gt;
When I run VLC as source of video stream internally in my lan and igmpproxy play role only of igmp querier,  stream not go to all port, but go only to client as must with igmp snooping.&lt;br /&gt;
