If you decide that would like to have some other picture (only picture) to start your movie it's currently necessary to insert a new image and define the same properties for it (later delete the old one).

Ideas to think about

Hello,

1. add an advanced feature to add the current project to a list and then start another one.
When your done, click compile and it does all the DVD's in the list. I'm currently creating a string of DVD's from about 12 hours of video clips.

2. add enable/disable buttons to the Burn DVD dialog, I added # to the commands I did not want or add a setup option to allow user to choose what he/she Wants. This a for the newbe.

3. I run a Dual / Dual core Xeon box, Mencoder is basically a single thread monster. a setup option to allow me to start all the mencoders at once. this entails monitoring the processes and waiting for the last one to stop. but it would greatly reduce the time to encode Videos, mencoder allows "threads=4" in the -lavcopts options, but thats not the same. and it messes with motion estimation.

This project is the bigone. qdvdauthor allows complete and total dvd creation by the newbe.

Thank you Thank you Thank you....

Ok,

When recording from live tv the stream has upto 4 channels in it, you should be able to choose which stream to encode when you right click on the video and choose properties. -aid # in mplayer/mencoder

if you want a stream to test with e-mail me or comment back here.

Incidentally, capacities as reported by dvd+rw-mediainfo:

DVD+R/RW = 2295104 × 2K (4700372992 bytes)
DVD+R DL = 4173824 × 2K (8547991552 bytes)

movie Chapters

Hy varol,

Since I saw some improvements are planned for the chapters in your changelog I would like to propose the aspect below.

My proposal is a newbie's one .

;-)

DVD Preview

Well,

For my first DVD project with QDVD, I observe that the structure of a dvd project and a dvd at last is close to a website's one.
Consequently, it could be usefull to integrate a webbrowser in qdvd and generate some pages as DVDMenu in order to see the effects on the button, if the links are OK and stuff like that.
It could avoid the disappointment at the end of a long project.

www links

Thanks to the new PC that can read any format of DVD, it could be accurate to allow qvdauthor inserting web adress and email.

win32 version?

Please port this to win32.

clone buttons

It would be nice to have "clone" capability for
objects (ie. TextButtons), for easy creation of
structured menus. Also group editing of attribures for
objects of the same type would help.

button tree behaviour

When you edit some value at "defined button" tree (for
example: specified_button->object->selected-
>text_object->EDIT) and you press "OK" in the window
where you change attributes, whole tree in the
"structure" box "closes", so you have to click your
way back to the part where you have been. It would
speed things a lot, if whole tree stays the way it
was, after action like this. Maybe there should be
"collapse all" and "expand all" icon somewhere,
because this is what you need from time to time -
especially in complicated projects.
