execution of the software.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The following message appears after crash in the&lt;br /&gt;
command line when trying to insert a surface:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;qmatplot: ksmatrix.h:137: double&lt;br /&gt;
KSMatrixImpl&amp;amp;lt;ELEMENT_TYPE&amp;amp;gt;::value(int, int) [with&lt;br /&gt;
ELEMENT_TYPE = double]: Assertion `col &amp;amp;lt; m_cols' failed.&lt;br /&gt;
Aborted&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, segmentation fault appears when trying to create&lt;br /&gt;
a surface from an already existing AXES.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The problem happens in versions 0.4.1 and 0.4.2.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;gcc version 3.2.2-2a installed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;QmatPlot compiles with no problems. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yet when trying to create a new work sheet or import&lt;br /&gt;
anyone, the selection menu remains gray. Qmatplot does&lt;br /&gt;
