Snooze on alarm

It would be nice to be able to snooze a timer, like an alarm clock does, by left clicking on the timer icon. Perhaps a left click context menu that allows one to Finish (the current left click default), Pause, Restart or Snooze (or extend) by some preset default (specified in Preferences?) I think it is a mistake to assume that a left click on a running timer will only stop the timer.

I do like the simplicity of the applet, but often find that I wish I could just extend the current timer.

Count Up option

Hi there, I have been looking for a simple count-up timer for gnome to monitor time spent using the computer etc. I always come across this application in my searches and it looks ideal for the job, except that it is only a count down timer. Allowing a Count Up option I would imagine would mean adding a simple button to select Up or Down and then in Count Up mode allowing a start time of 00:00:00 (HH:MM:SS). Regarding the presets it would be really handy if Count Up presets could be made which save the timers time to the preset when paused or stopped so the user could come back to it later.

A logging functionality which writes to a log file with the time and date when the timers were run with the corresponding timer names (for preset timers) would be good.

Continuous sound on completion

Would it be possible to (optionally) play the sound continuously (that is, repeat the chosen sound) until actively stopped? That way, if I walk away from the computer and miss the initial sound by, say, going to another room, I'll be able to hear it when I come back into hearing range.

Hello!

It would be great if one can enter e.g. "180" into the "minutes" field and the applet converts it to 2 hours and 30 minutes. I think it would be an simple but effective improvement.

it will be very nice, if we can also set a time eg. 12:45

The Applet can calculate the time in seconds or what ever is intern used and create the timer.

Is it possible to select a song of my playlist or add a simple Bip Bip Bip audio file ( not a bip system which can be disable ) ?

Right-click to add a new timer

It would be nice to have a right-click - add new timer button, would would then ask you for the time - and spawn a new timer instance in the gnome panel.

Currently, you have to right-click on an empty space, find the applet, add it, then give the time.

Applet should include default sound file

I see this applet includes a possibility of using a "default sound", but no sound file is included, which seems strange to me. I suggest packaging one. I'm attaching a sample sound effect of a manual telephone ringing that might be a reasonable default. According to the webpage I originally found it on, it's in the public domain, and thus suitable for free redistribution.

I use the applet for making tea on daily basis. Depending on which button you use, it takes several clicks to start the count down.

In case only one time is preset, it would be cool to have one click operation, i.e. you click on the applet icon and the countdown starts right away.
