Open Source TypeScript Drawing Software

Excalidraw, the virtual whiteboard app for sketching hand-drawn like diagrams, has come a long way. With the remote work becoming the status quo, Excalidraw was able to show its true potential and we’ve come to a point where over 100K people have used it just the last month! While it has been extremely successful as a free open source project, the biggest source of complaints nowadays is around adoption within companies: How do you share diagrams with your co-workers easily? Can your company depend on the service for live collaboration? Is your data secure? We’ve thought long and hard about how to make it happen in a volunteer-based open source model but haven’t found a great solution. So we decided to build a company around Excalidraw with the first product being Excalidraw+. With account-based access you can rest assured only the right people will have access to your data, while still retain the ability to share specific drawings with outside collaborators.

Signature Pad is a JavaScript library for drawing smooth signatures. It's HTML5 canvas based and uses variable width Bézier curve interpolation based on Smoother Signatures post by Square. It works in all modern desktop and mobile browsers and doesn't depend on any external libraries. Demo works in desktop and mobile browsers. You can check out its source code for some tips on how to handle window resize and high DPI screens. You can also find more about the latter in HTML5 Rocks tutorial. This library is provided as UMD (Universal Module Definition) and ES6 module. When you modify width or height of a canvas, it will be automatically cleared by the browser. SignaturePad doesn't know about it by itself, so you can call signaturePad.clear() to make sure that signaturePad.isEmpty() returns correct value in this case.
