Gitblit is an open-source, pure Java stack for managing, viewing, and serving Git repositories. It's designed primarily as a tool for small workgroups who want to host centralized repositories. Gitblit GO is an integrated, single-stack solution based on Jetty. You do not need Apache httpd, Perl, Git, or Gitweb. Should you want to use some or all of those, you still can; Gitblit plays nice with the other kids on the block. This is what you should download if you want to go from zero to Git in less than 5 mins. Gitblit WAR is what you should download if you already have a servlet container available that you wish to use. Jetty 6/7/8 and Tomcat 6/7 are known to work. Generally, any Servlet 2.5 or Servlet 3.0 container should work. Gitblit can be used as a dumb repository viewer with no administrative controls or user accounts. Gitblit can be used as a complete Git stack for cloning, pushing, and repository access control.

This library defines an object oriented representation of the GitHub API. By "object oriented" we mean there are classes that correspond to the domain model of GitHub (such as GHUser and GHRepository), operations that act on them as defined as methods (such as GHUser.follow()), and those object references are used in favor of using string handle (such as GHUser.isMemberOf(GHOrganization) instead of GHUser.isMemberOf(String)) The library supports both github.com and GitHub Enterprise. Most of the GitHub APIs are covered, although there are some corners that are still not yet implemented. The library allows connecting to GitHub via several different authentication mechanisms. This library defines a common convention so that applications using this library will look at a consistent location. In this convention, the library looks at ~/.github property file. The content of the files depends on the way you want this library to authenticate as shown.

git-commit-id-maven-plugin is a plugin quite similar to Build Number Maven Plugin for example but as the Build Number plugin at the time when I started this plugin only supported CVS and SVN, something had to be done. I had to quickly develop a Git version of such a plugin. For those who don't know the plugin, it basically helps you with the following tasks and answers related questions. The plugin is available from Maven Central (see here), so you don't have to configure any additional repositories to use this plugin. A detailed description of using the plugin is available in the Using the plugin document. All you need to do in the basic setup is to include that plugin definition in your pom.xml. For more advanced users we also prepared a guide to provide a brief overview of the more advanced configurations. Even though this plugin tries to be compatible with every Maven version there are some known limitations with specific versions.

This plugin allows to specify versions of external libraries in a centralized place and use them across the project. It's specifically useful for Gradle multi-projects. This plugin also uses com.github.ben-manes.versions plugin to automatically update libraries once new releases are available. Run ./gradlew syncLibraries to create $rootDir/dependencies.json file with all currently known dependencies. Once dependencies.json file is in place by generating via syncLibraries task or just by manually creating it, all declared in dependencies.json libraries can be used in project files. It's not a secret that it's really hard to keep libraries up to date especially when there are dozens and sometimes hundreds of them. For that purpose, this plugin has update libraries task that will automatically check for available new versions of libraries.

A local subversioning command line tool, written for those who find git troublesome and difficult to use for simple backups and snapshots of projects. The name is derived form being a small tool than git (which is really muscular), but skinny provide you easy to learn four commands and only used for local source management, commit log init restore ..thats it four commands no big deal. But its power lies in its simplicity formanaging Directory and Project States by making Snaposhots using a command line.
