Win flex-bison is a windows port the Flex (the fast lexical analyser) and Bison (GNU parser generator). win_flex based on Flex version 2.6.3 source code and win_bison based on Bison version 2.7 and they depend on system libraries only. RapidJSON is a JSON parser and generator for C++. It was inspired by RapidXml. RapidJSON is small but complete. It supports both SAX and DOM style API. The SAX parser is only a half thousand lines of code. RapidJSON is fast. Its performance can be comparable to strlen(). It also optionally supports SSE2/SSE4.2 for acceleration. RapidJSON is self-contained and header-only. It does not depend on external libraries such as BOOST. It even does not depend on STL. RapidJSON is memory-friendly. Each JSON value occupies exactly 16 bytes for most 32/64-bit machines (excluding text string). By default it uses a fast memory allocator, and the parser allocates memory compactly during parsing. RapidJSON is Unicode-friendly. It supports UTF-8, UTF-16, UTF-32 (LE & BE), and their detection, validation and transcoding internally. For example, you can read a UTF-8 file and let RapidJSON transcode the JSON strings into UTF-16 in the DOM. It also supports surrogates and "\u0000" (null character).

Ox is an attribute grammar compiling system that augments Lex and Yacc specifications with definitions of synthesized and inherited attributes written in a combination of Ox and C/C++ syntax. From these augmented specifications, Ox generates ordinary Lex and Yacc specifications that build and decorate attributed parse trees. The user can specify parse-tree traversals for easy ordering of side effects such as code generation. Ox handles the tedious and error-prone details of writing code for parse-tree management, so its use eases problems of security and maintainability associated with that aspect of translator development.

The goal of this project is to create a simple and easy to use parser generator that will accept a textual grammar file as an input and output modularized classes representing a limited parser interface. Long term goals include a robust grammar file syntax, output suitable for multiple programming languages, and tools for better integrating compiler functionality, parse tree manipulation, and FSM based scanner generation.
