Open Source Visual Basic Text Editors

This is a Pathfinder Character Creation project that was started in March of 2011. Created by players, for players. Check out the Release Notes and Wiki for details on what's what in the application.

TeXsword is an equation management macro package for Microsoft Word. It allows one to: (1) Insert equations with labels (bookmarks). Equations can be referenced further on and are automatically numbered. (2) Use LaTeX to create equations.

LatexInWord provides macros for Microsoft Word that allow the use of LaTeX input to create equations images in both inline and display modes. Similar macros for other word processors will hopefully be added in the future. This is an archive of the PowerBlog blogging desktop software application. PowerBlog is no longer supported as of 2005 and stopped working when incompatibilities came with .NET Framework v2 and Internet Explorer (which was used for WYSIWYG HTML editing). PowerBlog was a powerful and intuitive Windows desktop blogging application. One could post blog entries to an XML-RPC/Blogger API host, FTP host, or other host. It was extensible using .NET assemblies or by using VBScript/JScript scripts. It had an Outlook-style article browsing interface. PowerBlog's closest competitor was w.Bloggar until Microsoft Live Writer was released, which made PowerBlog an irrelevant product. Programs of which I have written for Win32 (some ported to Linux). We make a WordProcessor (WPi) and a web browser, as well as many handy tools. We also make a spell checker which can be integrated into existing applications.

SigZag is an email signature editor, and a text editor for ascii art. It contains a collection of almost 7000 ascii art pictures, and allows each picture to be positioned anywhere on the page, seperate to the actual text.

This project provides customization of XML editors to support publicly availble SGML and XML DTDs in particular those of the MSR-MEDOC project. While starting with XMETAL (aka xmetal) other systems are welcome.
