amDesktop is designed to complete environment with very light window manager (jwm, for example) with a set of widget:
1) an applicantion panel, icons supported and customizable.
2) a GUI wireless 3g connection enabler
3) a network manager

No resident program will be on your RAM: this is the mail goal of the project but it is also a disadvantage because of the latency...
