After all these years, this is still my favorite tool for writing use cases. Haven't found any other that I like to use.

This is a handy tool - simple and effective. Yet lots of improvements in UI and functionality are possible.

Use Case Maker is a wonderful tool that helps to tie together a software project's stakeholders, requirements (which can have attributes such as who proposed it, who it benefits, kind of requirement, importance, status, acceptance and can be mapped to use cases it applies to), glossary entries, actors, etc. As entities are created, you can easily refer to them in most text entry fields by typing a quotation mark and arrowning down to select the entity you wish to link to which ends up making a wonderfully tight cross-referenced document when you output it to HTML (best), PDF (next best), or RTF (least favorite, but you can customize the output more if need be). This is a "must have" for anyone putting together a software project because when you're finished, you have one document you can save for your records.
